Get Ultimate, if you want it and you really need it and you know what you're doing, but considering the nature of your question I think you might be just as fine with Komplete standard. But, granted that you already like working with some Komplete instruments, I think it's the right decision to get Komplete anyway, because it's sustainable instrument collection that allows you to focus on your music and doesn't make you wasting your time on internet forums or worrying about your GAS. I have K10 standard and while I think, it would be nice to have some additional products from Ultimate every now and then, I don't feel I'm missing much (however, I'm sure at some point there will be an offer too good to miss for me). I have Komplete since v2, but it wasn't until v5-7 (skipped v6), that I got the impression that I know what I'm doing with the majority of its products. It also depends on how much you're already familiar with NI products. if you've more or less just started then getting Ultimate may be a bit overwhelming (that's what I get from some people when they're complaining that Komplete would be just bloatware) and also when you'd actually need a setup consisting of a synth and a simple sampler. it depends on your needs and your level of expertise, i.e.
